Homestead Lane Footpath Closure Saturday 17 and Saturday 24 May

Facilities Management contractors will be completing interim improvements to the footpath and drainage outside the Southbase Hording on the southside of Homestead Lane, between the hours of 8am and 5pm on Saturday 17 May and again on Saturday 24 May.

Signage will be in place redirecting students during the works.

Please adhere to all signage and directions and do not enter the works area.

Full Road Closure Main South Road / Yaldhurst Road / Riccarton Road 16-19 May

A full nighttime closure will be in place at the Church Corner Intersection (Main South Road / Yaldhurst Road / Riccarton Roadbetween 9pm and 6am on Friday 16 May and 9pm and 6am on Sunday 19 May.

Christchurch City Council (CCC) Contractor, HEB Construction, will be completing final pavement surfacing as part of the Church Corner Road Safety Traffic Improvements and traffic light installation. As always, these times are weather dependant.

Update #1 GS77 Bike sheds – Glass Roof Removal

Facilities Management (FM) advise that staff have completed an initial health and safety review of the Central Lecture Theatre Bike Stands and have removed the panes of glass causing immediate concern.

End adjacent to Beatrice Tinsley (SC07) – A

The bike sheds closest to Beatrice Tinsley will be open until 6pm tonight for any students wishing to remove their bike and park elsewhere. After 6pm tonight access needs to be requested by contacting Security on either extension 6888 or free phone (including from mobiles) 0800 823 637. This access to area A will only be allowed so you can remove your bike.

End adjacent to Rehua (CO01) – B

Staff completed assessment of the bike shelter next to Rehua and are confident that this can be opened temporarily from today, but the bike shelter on the Beatrice end will remain closed until Friday 16th May.
